The Darrington Food Bank Foundation believes that access to nutritious food is a basic human right. We are committed to responding to the needs of our community by continuing to grow and collaborate with volunteers, donors and partners to ensure that no one goes hungry.
We will treat all people with respect, dignity and courtesy. We will work to provide an inclusive culture in which we all learn and work together.
Our Story
We are a rural, all volunteer food bank that has been providing nutritious food at no
cost to anyone that needs it since 1983. We are the only food bank within a 30 mile radius. Due
to our remote location in the North Cascades Mountains we drive over 1100 miles each month
to pick up food donations. We serve an average 140 households per week including household
delivery to residents that can’t get to the food bank. Twice monthly we provide evening food
distribution to make sure working families can come by and pick up food after work. The food
bank provides diabetic supplies twice a month along with donated pet food that we pick up
from Seattle Humane in Bellevue. We have recently established the Teen Tent at the high
school and a satellite pantry at the library to provide easy-to-prepare meals and hygiene
supplies.

Schedule
On the first and third Mondays of the month, distribution is in the morning, between 10 am and 12 pm
On the second and fourth Mondays of the month, distribution is in the evening, between 4 pm and 6 pm.
In case of weather, holidays or other possible closures, please call 564-516-2471 to check if we are open.
Pick-up
Pick-up is drive-through only. Please have a cleared area in your vehicle; make sure any pets are contained and please stay in your vehicle. Our volunteers will be happy to assist
you.
